The Barcelona Half Marathon 2026 will take over the city's streets this Sunday, February 15th, causing significant traffic closures and public transport diversions throughout the morning.

The Barcelona City Council has announced a mobility plan affecting Ciutat Vella, Eixample, and Sant Martí. The race starts at Passeig de Picasso and finishes at Passeig de Pujades, covering a route that includes Gran Via, Avinguda Diagonal, and the seafront.
Setup operations began on Saturday, February 14th, leading to early closures around the Ciutadella Park area. Parking is strictly prohibited on dozens of streets, including Passeig de Colom and Avinguda Litoral, with restrictions remaining in place until Sunday afternoon.
With the Carnival parades and Santa Eulàlia festivities also taking place this weekend, authorities strongly recommend using the metro. Most bus lines crossing the city center will be rerouted or suspended until approximately 3:30 PM on Sunday.
