Barcelona Fills with Cultural and Leisure Activities This Weekend

The city offers a wide agenda including manga, beer, puppet theater festivals, and local markets for all audiences.

The city of Barcelona is gearing up for a weekend full of activities, with proposals ranging from Japanese culture to gastronomic festivals and theatrical events, offering options for all tastes and ages.

The Japan Weekend Barcelona returns on Saturday, April 11, to the Gran Via exhibition center, bringing together fans of manga, anime, video games, and Japanese culture. Simultaneously, Margarida Xirgu square will host the seventh edition of Flors al Mercat on Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, featuring plants, flowers, gastronomy, and crafts with free admission.
Electronic music lovers have an appointment with SOUNDIT on Saturday, April 11, at La Monumental, from 3 PM to 10 PM. For the most demanding palates, the gourmet burger festival “The Champions Burguer” will be held from Thursday, April 9, to Sunday, April 19, in the parking lot of the Westfield la Maquinista shopping center, with over 60 stalls and free access.
The adult puppet theater festival, Ròmbic, can be enjoyed on April 10 and 11 at the Ateneu Popular 9 Barris, with shows such as Entresòl 1a by La Dona Calba and La Manékine by La Pendue. Additionally, the Barcelona Beer Festival 2026 will open its doors from April 10 to 12 at the Montjuïc exhibition center, featuring 400 craft beers.
Fabra i Coats hosts the free FIL_IN music resident concerts until April 18. On Friday, April 10, Plaça de la Bella Dorita will be the stage for the protest festival Arnau per a Tothom, with various performances. Casa Seat will be the venue for the Poetrònica festival, combining poetry and electronic music, on April 10 and 11.
Other proposals include the Revolta de les Quintes in Vila de Gràcia on Sunday, April 12, the 22nd Barcelona Hat Walk on Rambla de Catalunya on the same day, and the Barceloneta Spring Festivals, which will run until May 31. The show RA! by Patricia Caballero can also be enjoyed at the Mercat de les Flors from April 9 to 11.
For residents, Park Güell offers free access with the new Green Pass. Poble Espanyol celebrates the Biergarten until April 12 with 22 beers and live music. Finally, the XXXV Aplec de la Sardana de Sants will take place on Sunday, April 12, at the Parc de l'Espanya Industrial.
