The city of Barcelona is set to host a historic edition of its Marathon this Sunday, March 15, with a record-breaking 32,000 registered runners.

The race will start at 8:30 AM on Passeig de Gràcia, located between Gran Via and Plaça de Catalunya. This year's event sees an increase of 5,000 participants compared to the previous edition.
The 42-kilometer course has been redesigned to be more central, passing by iconic monuments such as the Sagrada Família, Torre Glòries, Columbus Monument, and La Pedrera. The finish line is located at Passeig de Lluís Companys, by the Arc de Triomf.
City authorities have warned of significant traffic disruptions and public transport changes throughout the weekend. The event is expected to conclude by 4:00 PM as the final runners complete the course.
