Two key lines of the Barcelona metro, L9 and L10 north, will face partial service interruptions this summer due to infrastructure enhancement works.

Summer in Barcelona will bring significant disruptions to two metro lines. The L9 (La Sagrera / Can Zam) and L10 north (La Sagrera / Gorg) lines will have their service partially suspended for infrastructure improvement works. These closures will begin on Thursday, June 25, and will extend until September 6.
The works will be carried out in two phases to minimize the impact on mobility. The first phase, starting on June 25, will affect service between the La Sagrera and Onze de Setembre stations in the Sant Andreu district. The second phase, also in the Sant Andreu district, will necessitate the closure of the section between La Sagrera and Bon Pastor stations from August 31 to September 6.
In response to these disruptions, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) has arranged a special bus service to cover the route of the affected stations. This special service will operate with the metro's usual timetable, including uninterrupted service on Saturday nights. TMB advises that no ticket validation is required for this special bus service. Alternatively, passengers can reach the affected areas using other metro lines such as the L1 and L2, as well as the H8 bus line (Ernest Lluch / Bon Pastor).
These works are part of the adaptation of the macropou tunnel for lines L9 and L10, a space where the extension of the L4 will also converge. This project will connect the northern branches with the central section of the lines and involves an investment exceeding 20 million euros from the Generalitat.
