The festival, one of the most deeply rooted in the calendar, will feature the Flama del Canigó, which will travel through the streets to reach Plaça de Sant Jaume. There, the solemn ceremony will include the participation of the Gegants de la Ciutat, the Capgrossos Macers, and the Àliga de la Ciutat, accompanied by a sardana dance.
The neighborhoods of the Catalan capital have organized multiple meeting points. From Ciutat Vella to Sant Martí, residents will be able to enjoy potluck dinners, concerts, and bonfire lightings. In districts such as Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc, Gràcia, or Horta-Guinardó, local associations have scheduled activities ranging from children's fire runs to sustainable parties on the beach.
The municipal plan for the night of June 23rd to 24th includes special measures for the beaches, where a high turnout is expected. Beach bars along the coast must follow the time and activity restrictions established by the City Council to ensure the smooth running of the celebration.
