The city of Barcelona marks this Sunday, March 8th, with a series of mobilizations for International Women's Day, featuring two distinct demonstrations and a feminist strike.

For the second consecutive year, the feminist movement in the Catalan capital will protest in a fragmented manner. The main rally, organized by Assemblea 8-M, is scheduled to start at 11:30 AM from Jardinets de Gràcia. This march will head through the city center, concluding at Arc de Triomf.
Meanwhile, the Moviment Feminista de Barcelona has organized an alternative protest, distancing itself from the official march. This gathering will begin at 12:00 PM in Plaça de Catalunya, providing a second focal point for the day's demands.
In addition to the street protests, the CGT union has officially called for a feminist strike throughout the day. Organizers aim to highlight gender inequalities on a date that restores the momentum of social protest in Barcelona.
