The Matsuri Festival will bring the essence of Japan to Barcelona on May 16 and 17, 2026, at the Moll de la Fusta waterfront location.

This traditional celebration offers a unique opportunity to experience Japanese heritage through Bon Odori folk dances and powerful Taiko drum performances. The event aims to bridge the gap between the local community and Japanese residents living in Barcelona, showcasing traditional arts and crafts.
The schedule features a wide array of activities, including Karate Do and Ninjutsu demonstrations, Samurai workshops, and Kabuki performances. Families can enjoy a dedicated children's area with Yukata photo sessions and traditional games, while food stalls will serve authentic dishes typically found at Japanese summer festivals.
Opening hours are set from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. General admission is priced at 5 euros per day, with a weekend pass available for 8 euros. Children under 12 years old can attend for free, making it an accessible cultural event for all visitors at the Port Vell.
