Following previous editions in Valencia and Malaga, the gathering arrives in the Catalan capital with the goal of focusing on the region's current challenges. The project, promoted by Prensa Ibérica and the Fundació La Caixa, seeks to highlight the strategic importance of the Mediterranean arc in a global scenario marked by geopolitical uncertainty and technological transformation.
The official presentation, held recently in Madrid, served to address key issues such as tourism pressure, energy transition, and the need to strengthen cooperation among countries in the area. Organizers emphasized that the Mediterranean must have its own voice, capable of generating prosperity and development where the economy and social progress advance together.
“"It is important to provide these spaces, which invite calm reflection."
During the sessions, specific cases will be analyzed, such as the management of tourism saturation in the Balearic Islands, where measures have been implemented to limit vehicle access on islands like Formentera and Ibiza. The event aims to be an action-oriented forum that generates tangible solutions for a region that, according to experts, is particularly sensitive to major global changes.
