The Barcelona City Council and ERC have reached an agreement to allocate 15 million euros for the transformation of the Besòs i el Maresme neighborhood in 2026.

The deal between the Republicans and Jaume Collboni's administration focuses on the rehabilitation of 4,500 homes currently in poor condition. The 2026 plan includes eight priority projects, such as the technical design for renovating ten buildings totaling 720 apartments.
Within the area bounded by Llull and Bernat Metge streets, a new neighborhood support office will open at Bernat Martorell, 1. This facility will assist 203 communities dealing with structural issues in their residential blocks.

"The agreement presented by PSC and ERC is a patch and is far from being what the citizens really need."

Additionally, the city plans to build two new residential blocks on Puigcerdà and Veneçuela streets to provide 61 temporary relocation homes, ensuring residents have housing during the renovation process.
