The project, led by the Parisian studio Bruther and the Barcelona-based Jorge Vidal Studio, won the international competition organized by BSM. With an estimated investment of 70 million euros, the facility aims to strengthen the city's position as a benchmark in the European music circuit.
The new hall, which will be integrated into the Anella Olímpica, will feature a flexible capacity ranging from 3,500 to 9,000 people. The design emphasizes acoustic excellence and sustainability, following BREEAM certification standards to minimize environmental impact and optimize energy consumption.
The 17,000-square-meter building will include outdoor spaces connected to the esplanade to improve public flow and logistics operations. The facility is expected to be operational by 2029, completing the Montjuïc venue ecosystem alongside the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys and the Palau Sant Jordi.
