A new dining venue, Tapas 108, is set to open this March in Barcelona's famous La Rambla, occupying a prime spot that has been vacant since the pandemic began.

The restaurant replaces the former Taller de Tapas at number 108. The new owners, experienced entrepreneurs in the Gòtic quarter, are capitalizing on adjusted rental prices caused by the ongoing major urban transformation of the boulevard, which is scheduled for completion in early 2027.
While some historic establishments like Amaya have temporarily closed to avoid the disruption of construction, Tapas 108 joins other recent openings like 700 Milles. These businesses aim to establish themselves before the expected surge in property values once the street's pedestrian areas are fully expanded.

"It is a good time to open, waiting for the axis to recover its pulse next year."

The menu will focus on Mediterranean cuisine, featuring grilled meats, fish, and paellas. Despite the tourist-heavy location, the management intends to attract local residents by offering fresh products and competitive pricing, supported by a kitchen team with experience in Plaça Reial.
