This Saturday, Barcelona will experience a weather change due to the passage of a cold air mass at high altitude. After days of intense sultriness, a rise in instability with the possibility of rain is expected, followed by a temperature drop.
The early morning and morning are predicted to be heavy with sultriness and low cloud intervals, with a dull and overcast sky. The first morning showers could be muddy, carrying suspended dust accumulated in the atmosphere and potentially leaving marks on outdoor surfaces.
Maximum temperatures are expected to reach up to 28 or 30 ºC in Barcelona, although in the pre-coastal areas they could reach 33 or 34 ºC. From Saturday night to Sunday and until Monday, July 27th, a more significant temperature decrease is anticipated, avoiding 30 ºC at midday and torrid or tropical nights in many parts of the metropolitan area.
The afternoon might see more activity in the pre-coastal region, with showers and some thunderstorms that will initially be concentrated in the northeast of the metropolitan area and later move towards the central coast. Saturday night and Sunday morning could experience locally intense showers and thunderstorms along the coast of Barcelona.
Should the showers be confirmed, caution is advised when parking near rivers and streams, as they could experience a sudden increase in flow.
