The initiative, part of the Municipal Employment Promotion Service (IMPO), will enable Caprabo to forward job openings to the council. Subsequently, IMPO will pre-select registered candidates who match the company's required profiles, thereby streamlining the selection processes.
The agreement was ratified by the mayor of Badalona, Xavier García Albiol, and the general director of Caprabo, Edorta Juaristi. The objective is twofold: to address citizens' employment needs and to attract significant investments that generate economic activity in the city.
This collaboration is part of Caprabo's expansion plan in Badalona, which includes an investment of 5 million euros throughout 2026. The company will open three new supermarkets, covering over 2,600 square meters of commercial space, making the city one of the company's main investment focuses this year, second only to Barcelona.
Mayor Albiol emphasized that the creation of new jobs and the enhancement of commercial offerings in various neighborhoods are key benefits of this initiative. For his part, Juaristi positively assessed the city's development and the collaboration established with the City Council.
