Castellers de Barcelona have reached an unprecedented milestone in 'castell' history by erecting a 4 of 7 tower at the Aletsch Glacier in the Swiss Alps, at an altitude exceeding 3,450 meters.

This performance, held at the renowned Jungfraujoch site, also known as the Top of Europe, marks the highest 'castell' construction ever documented. The group successfully completed a 4 of 7, a 3 of 7, and a 5 of 6 before the imposing Aletsch Glacier, a UNESCO World Heritage natural site.
The president of the group, Maria López, expressed her satisfaction at being able to bring over 180 'castellers' to Switzerland. She described the achievement as a "privilege" that allows them to "promote Catalan culture worldwide".
The event also featured the participation of the Lausanne 'castell' group, joining in the celebration of this cultural and sporting achievement.
