The Generalitat de Catalunya has agreed to temporarily suspend the Low Emission Zones (LEZ) and reinforce public transport until Friday, as an extraordinary measure to compensate for persistent restrictions on the Rodalies train service.

This decision, announced on Wednesday, aims to facilitate citizens' travel via alternative routes while the full recovery of the rail service is completed. Among the road mobility measures that remain in place is the removal of barriers at the C-32 toll in the Garraf area, allowing free vehicle passage.
In addition to the free passage on the C-32, 150 reinforcement vehicles remain active on regular bus lines covering habitual corridors. The Barcelona metropolitan area has a specific reinforcement of 19 additional buses connecting the towns of Castelldefels, Gavà, and Viladecans, ensuring public transport alternatives.
Regarding rail transport, the Generalitat activated free monthly passes for Rodalies starting this Tuesday, a compensatory initiative for users affected by the interruptions. This measure seeks to alleviate the inconvenience caused during the period of full connection restoration.
To absorb the increased demand, the usual Mid-Distance service has also been reinforced using the High-Speed line connecting Barcelona with Lleida, incorporating four additional services. The Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) have also increased service on the Barcelona-Vallès and Llobregat-Anoia lines.
