The CCOO union has called for a protest on March 26th at L'Hospitalet de Llobregat City Hall square to demand urgent solutions for the city's overcrowded schools.

The union warns of a socio-educational emergency, stating that 75% of primary school classrooms exceed legal limits. This has led to an increase in temporary classroom structures, known as grups bolet, which have doubled in the last three years.

"The priority cannot be opening three student residences and three hotels; this is not the model to end the emergency."

Demands include new schools in la Torrassa and Can Rigal neighborhoods. The union also highlights that the school failure rate in L'Hospitalet is 33%, significantly higher than the national average of 15%.
