The Clínic Obert Solidarity Shop has raised €6,475 through the sale of accessories made from the Clínic's reused materials, with the funds designated to support individuals in vulnerable situations.

Five months after the Clínic Obert event, the Solidarity Shop initiative has transformed tarpaulins and banners into unique items such as wallets, toiletry bags, and tote bags, combining circular economy principles with social commitment. The event, held last Wednesday at the North Courtyard of the Villarroel site, successfully raised €6,475.
These funds will be used to support individuals in vulnerable situations, assisting them with healthcare-related expenses such as travel for medical visits or treatments, as well as other social needs affecting their recovery process. The proceeds will enable the Clínic's Social Work team and the CAPSBE Primary Care to continue offering support to patients and families.
This action goes beyond material reuse, aiming to give back to the community a portion of the event's impact and address specific social needs. The initiative also highlights the Clínic's commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.
The collaboration of the teams involved in transforming the materials and the support of those who contributed to making it a reality have been crucial. Donations can still be made through the initiative's website until November 14th.
