The College of Graduate Engineers and Technical Industrial Engineers of Barcelona has organized a training course to learn how to reuse water in buildings, a practice increasingly necessary due to climate change and recurring drought episodes.
The training, taking place on September 14, 16, 21, 28, and 30, 2026, will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM, both in person at the College's headquarters (street Consell de Cent, 365 in Barcelona) and via videoconference.
The course addresses the growing trend of implementing greywater and rainwater reuse systems in buildings, driven by municipal water-saving regulations. It focuses on the design criteria, sizing, regulations, and maintenance of these installations.
It will delve into the different reuse systems, their components, technical requirements, and applicable legislation. Sustainable water management in buildings will also be covered, and it will include a guided visit to an operational greywater reuse facility.
This training is primarily aimed at professionals and technicians involved in the construction sector, for both new builds and renovations, especially those working in water installations, sanitation, reuse, treatment, and environmental management.
