A Europa fan was stabbed last night in Barcelona after the match against Celta B, with the Eskapulats fan group alleging the assault was ideologically motivated.

The fan group of Europa, known as Eskapulats, has reported that the fan stabbed with a bladed weapon last night in Barcelona, following the promotion playoff match against Celta B, was the victim of an ideologically motivated assault. VilaWeb has not been able to confirm the circumstances of the attack.
In a statement, the collective described the victim as an independentist and anti-fascist, asserting he was stabbed for these reasons by a “Spanish fascist.” They also denounce an attempt to downplay the aggressor's ideological motive and create doubt.
Meanwhile, the Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan Police) have confirmed the arrest of a 52-year-old man in connection with the incident.
The Eskapulats' version contrasts with that of CE Europa, which also condemned the assault but emphasized that the events were unrelated to football or the match played against the Galician reserve team.
The investigation remains open to clarify the circumstances of the stabbing and determine its motive.
