The first incident occurred on Wednesday, August 12, in the morning, when a vehicle was detected traveling at 125 km/h on Meridiana Avenue, entering the city. In this section, the maximum permitted speed is 50 km/h.
The second case, which happened during the early hours of Friday, the 14th, was even more extreme. A vehicle with foreign license plates was intercepted entering Barcelona via Diagonal Avenue at 130 km/h, thus exceeding by 160% the speed limit also set at 50 km/h for this stretch.
The Guàrdia Urbana has taken legal action against both drivers for these speeding offenses, which are considered criminal.
