The Gothic Quarter of Barcelona becomes the stage for the seventh edition of the Experimental Photo Festival, taking place from July 22 to July 26, 2026.

The program, which coincides with the bicentennial of the birth of photography, is centered at the Centre Cívic Pati Llimona. The event aims to foster knowledge exchange among artists and professionals through a schedule that includes around twenty free exhibitions spread across various locations in the neighborhood.
Featured proposals include exhibitions on ecological cyanotype at Galería Borsí, research on the margins of analog negatives at Lab Nau Especial, and street art interventions on Sant Simplici street that challenge the perception of urban space.
In addition to the exhibitions, the festival organizes seventy practical workshops on techniques such as anthotype, chemigrams, or the creation of digital negatives. The program is complemented by lectures on the relationship between documentary imagery and new technologies, as well as special talks linked to astronomical phenomena.
