Cateb has convened a hybrid working meeting for the upcoming September 9th at 4:00 PM to analyze the Draft Law for the simplification of urban and environmental procedures presented by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The objective is to gather the opinions of members with experience in urban planning procedures to improve current processes. The Generalitat de Catalunya published this draft law last July, which aims to reform how municipal urban planning actions are verified.
The participation of technical architects specialized in urban planning, construction permits, technical suitability reports, construction management, building rehabilitation, relations with local administrations, urban planning consultancy, and procedure digitalization is sought. Experience in all areas is not required; practical knowledge and a critical perspective are valued.
The meeting will serve to discuss key aspects of the draft law, such as the new model of Collaborative Certification Entities in Urban Planning (ECAU), future technical suitability and urban conformity certificates, the relationship between professionals, ECAU, and city councils, the delimitation of responsibilities, the real simplification of procedures, and the harmonization of criteria and digitalization.
Interested professionals should send an email to consultoria@cateb.cat, indicating whether they will attend remotely or in person (Escola EADA, Carrer Aragó, 204 Barcelona) and detailing their relevant experience.
