The Eixample district is gearing up to host the tenth edition of the Tangent Festival, a cultural event encompassing music, dance, contemporary circus, and theater. The festival will run from June 30 to July 23, offering a lineup of shows designed for all audiences.
The program includes performances such as the dance piece Aleta by Cia. Marc Fernández at Pl. Fort Pienc on June 30, and the object theater show Mudanzas Portas by Joan Tomàs Martínez and Lluki Portas at Casa Golferichs on July 2, which requires prior registration.
Other notable acts include a concert by Guillem Roma at the Centre Cívic Urgell on July 3, the clown performance Labú by TRIPLETTE at Mercat de Sant Antoni on July 6, and the dance piece FRAGILE by Humancía at the same Centre Cívic Urgell on July 7.
The festival continues with music acts like Lima Negra – Peligros at La Casa Elizalde on July 8, and Laaza – Por el camino verde on Consell de Cent street on July 10. Circus performances will also feature, including EMPAQUE – Chicharrón Circo Flamenco on July 14 and the performance I trust you by Vivian Friedrich on July 15.
Dance takes center stage with Cafè de Copla by Pol Jiménez at the Centre Cívic Cotxeres Borrell on July 17, which also requires registration. Music returns with EXTRAÑO WEYS ORQUESTRA at Mercat de Sant Antoni on July 21, followed by the dance piece NO (Pieza Corta) by La Venidera on July 22.
The festival will conclude on July 23 with a concert by Renaldo & Clara presenting L’Encant at Pl. Sagrada Família. Most activities are free and open to the public, although some require advance booking.
