The fireworks display that traditionally concludes the Mercè festival, the Pyromusical, will change its venue. This year, it will take place at Bogatell beach. Similarly, the New Year's Eve celebration will move to the Olympic Ring.
These changes have been made due to ongoing construction work at Fira de Barcelona, which affects the usual location on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina. Consequently, both events will temporarily leave this site.
In contrast, the Mercè concerts will not be affected by this construction and will maintain their usual location. The duration of these venue changes for major events could extend beyond this year, depending on the progress of the works.
