Benito Miró, who also serves as Vice-Dean of the Consular Corps of Barcelona, shared his vision of the city, describing it as an extraordinary space, open to the world, and with a great capacity for international integration. According to Miró, Barcelona uniquely combines innovation, tradition, creativity, and global projection, serving as a key connection point between Europe, Latin America, and the Mediterranean.
The consul stated that Barcelona represents "dialogue, modernity, and opportunities," a city that constantly inspires and where institutional, economic, and cultural relations develop with "enormous naturalness." He also considers it an "exceptional" platform for strengthening El Salvador's international presence.
Miró expressed his pride in being part of Barcelona Global, an association through which he contributes from diplomacy to Barcelona's international positioning. He acknowledged the leadership of president José María Ajenjo and the work of CEO Mercè Conesa and her team.
Regarding El Salvador, the consul noted that the country is undergoing a phase of "transformation and international opening" under President Bukele, presenting itself as a "dynamic, modern, and safe" nation generating opportunities in investment, tourism, and technology.
Finally, Miró positively valued Barcelona's international dimension, its ability to attract talent, and its multicultural coexistence, highlighting the large consular concentration as proof of its global relevance.
