Traffic cuts and bus line diversions have made the metro and walking the main alternatives for getting around the city. Drivers have faced limitations in both traffic and parking in the areas affected by the circuit.
As the day progressed, access between the two sides of the circuit was restricted. The only option for crossing on foot was a temporary footbridge located between Valencia and Sardenya streets, where pedestrian queues formed.
While some residents chose to stay home or run errands early in the morning, others experienced the day with resignation due to mobility difficulties. The operation included volunteers to manage the passage of people between the security barriers.
