Turó de la Peira Celebrates its 48th Annual Festival from June 5th to 14th

The Turó de la Peira neighborhood in Nou Barris is celebrating its 48th Annual Festival from June 5th to 14th, offering a diverse program of cultural and recreational activities for everyone.

The Turó de la Peira Annual Festival reaches its 48th edition this year 2026, becoming one of the highlights of June in Barcelona's Nou Barris district. The celebrations will take place from Friday, June 5th, to Sunday, June 14th, featuring a wide array of activities for residents and visitors.
The program kicks off on Friday, June 5th, with a parade by the Colla Gegantera de Nou Barris and BatuBasses, starting from Plaça de les Basses de la Peira. The day will continue with a sardana exhibition and workshop at Plaça de Can Basté, followed by the Festival's opening speech by Encarna Molina and a concert of folk, lyrical, and traditional music by CuarenTuna de Barcelona.
During the weekend, on Saturday, June 6th, there will be a children's chocolate party with games and clowns at Montmajor, 15, a mixed football tournament at the Municipal Football Field, and a festival of traditional world dances, Aplec-Up Turó, in the Ignacio Urenda Gardens. The night will conclude with Turó Rock at Plaça de Can Basté. On Sunday, June 7th, Plaça Ignasi Urenda will host a foam party.
The following week, on Thursday, June 11th, the exhibition “La màgia de la llum” (The Magic of Light) by students from Escola Calderón will open at Can Basté. On Friday, June 12th, the festivities continue with La Turoneta va de festa, featuring the Xaxiband and a foam party at Escola Turó, and the Nit Jove (Youth Night) at Plaça de les Basses with a popular dinner and musical performances.
Saturday, June 13th, will be marked by an anti-fascist day, including the 9B Popular Run and activities at Plaça Can Basté. The traditional cart descent from Turó de la Peira and Can Peguera will also take place in Parc del Turó, followed by a youth vermouth with musical bingo. The evening will feature an anti-fascist concert at Plaça de Can Basté.
The festival will culminate on Sunday, June 14th, with a puppet workshop at Plaça de les Basses, a popular lunch with various gastronomic options, and live Afro-Dominican music by A Palo Limpio, also at Plaça de les Basses.
