The musical group El Último de la Fila, with Manolo García and Quimi Portet, returns to the stages of Barcelona with two concerts at the Estadi Olímpic, reviving their unique fusion of rock and poetry.

After three decades of individual careers, the reunion of El Último de la Fila has generated great anticipation. The band, which emerged in 1985 from the encounter between Manolo García and Quimi Portet, created a distinctive sound that combined their musical and ideological differences and affinities.
The band's history dates back to a festival in Hostalets de Balenyà in 1981, where Manolo García (then with Los Rápidos) and Quimi Portet (from Kul de Mandril) connected through their musical passion. This encounter was the starting point for a collaboration that solidified with Los Burros and culminated in the creation of El Último de la Fila.
The band was characterized by its independent attitude towards the music industry, creating its own label, Perro Records, in 1990. They also stood out for their critical stance, such as their refusal to participate in the opening ceremony of the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, preferring to perform at a protest concert.
The chemistry between García, with his voice influenced by flamenco and dreamlike poetry, and Portet, a guitarist with a wild touch and anti-heroic irony, resulted in dozens of songs that will now be performed live. This reunion will allow fans to enjoy a selection of their most emblematic hits.

"There is a thread of connection between the two through surrealism: between the Jamón de mono that Quimi sang with Kul de Mandril and Manolo who put funnels on his head and broke televisions with Los Rápidos."
