The flag handover ceremony took place at the Biblioteca municipal, where Josep Morral Berenguer and Toni Morral Berenguer, along with Queralt Morral Bisbal, assumed the roles of flag bearers and cordonists for the 2026 edition. This Sunday's Sant Antoni Abat parade will be led by Escola Collserola and the descendants of Can Feliu del Cantó, a house with five generations of farming families on Sant Ramon street.
During the presentation of the 27th edition of the Tres Tombs magazine, tributes were paid to key figures of the organization who recently passed away: the historian Jordi Garsaball and the honorary president Ermini Puig. The horse Castanyo was also remembered, and the new additions, Castany and Willy, were introduced.
“"The parade is an open-air museum."
Mayor Carlos Cordón expressed gratitude for the preservation of the tradition, and the secretary of the Federació Catalana dels Tres Tombs, Sílvia Barea, described the festival as part of Catalan heritage. The event included a historical lecture by Robert Álvarez Masalias on the judicial struggles between farmers and the Marquesat dels Marimón. Family activities, such as decorating carriages and a Catalan bowling exhibition, will take place on Saturday, culminating in the parade and the blessing of the animals on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in front of the City Hall.
