Mossos d’Esquadra are investigating an incident that occurred on Friday night in Badalona, where occupants of a stolen car rammed a police vehicle at a gas station in the Montigalà area.

The incident took place around 11:30 PM at a service station located on Conflent avenue, near the B-20. According to captured footage, a police unit approached a car, a BMW reported stolen, as officers suspected it might be linked to a group of thieves specializing in car break-ins.
Upon noticing the police presence, the driver of the vehicle accelerated and collided with the Mossos' car. Faced with the maneuver, which endangered the officers, the patrol responded by firing several shots. The car managed to flee the gas station, and a pursuit ensued.
The escape ended shortly after, when several suspects abandoned the car and attempted to flee on foot. Thanks to the collaboration of the Guàrdia Urbana de Badalona, the Mossos managed to arrest one of the occupants. Police are continuing to search for the remaining fugitives.
