The fire, which began with an upward progression and high intensity, was fought by a device consisting of five aerial assets and eleven ground crews. The strategy of the extinguishing teams focused on forcefully attacking both flanks of the fire, managing to quickly reduce its intensity.
During the operation, Protecció Civil sent an alert to mobile phones in the area to order the confinement of residents in the Palau colony and Clavell street, a measure affecting approximately 1,500 people. According to official data, the flames crested the Serrat d'en Canals before continuing their path downwards.
Crews prioritized the use of aerial assets on the left flank, identified as the fire's most active point. Authorities confirmed that nearby residential areas were never in any real danger.
