An itinerant exhibition inaugurated in Barceloneta celebrates 10 years of Barcelona's neighborhood plans, showcasing the positive impact on urban transformation and community life.

A new exhibition at Plaça del Poeta Boscà, in Barceloneta, commemorates the first decade of Barcelona's neighborhood plans. The exhibition, attended by the Councilor for Neighborhood Plans, Sara Belbeida, and the Commissioner for the Pact for Ciutat Vella, Ivan Pera, highlights the impact of this municipal policy.
It is a cycle of 15 exhibitions that will travel to different neighborhoods across the city, explaining through testimonial experiences how the Neighborhood Plan has contributed to reducing inequalities and improving residents' lives. The objective is to give visibility to the work done and the municipal commitment.
According to Sara Belbeida, the plan «has transformed streets, squares, and facilities, but above all, it has contributed to generating new opportunities for thousands of Barcelona residents». The councilor emphasizes that «after ten years, it can be said that it is a public policy that has helped reduce inequalities and strengthen community life in the neighborhoods».
The exhibition combines impact data with concrete projects, explained by the residents themselves. The common section consists of four panels about the Neighborhood Plan, while eight more panels detail specific projects in the neighborhood where it is located, such as Barceloneta. It includes QR codes for access to more information and interviews.
The schedule includes the simultaneous display of two exhibitions every two weeks in different neighborhoods. The first are in Barceloneta and Verdum (until July 19), followed by Raval and Rambla Prim (from July 20 to 31). After a break in August, the exhibition will resume on September 1 and continue until November in neighborhoods such as Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera, the Gòtic, Trinitat Vella, Turó de la Peira, el Bon Pastor, Baró de Viver, la Prosperitat, Trinitat Nova, Ciutat Meridiana, Vallbona, and el Carmel.
