Farmers and ranchers from Girona, Vallès, and Osona have concluded their protest in Barcelona, withdrawing from the Gran Vía after a day of demands in front of the Department of Agriculture headquarters.

The primary sector, which kept its tractors parked on Barcelona's Gran Vía for an entire day, has expressed satisfaction with the impact of the mobilizations. The protest, which gathered farmers from regions such as Gironès, Vallès, and Osona, sought to pressure the Generalitat (Catalan Government) for sectoral improvements.

"It has been very positive and, surely, we will return next year."

Despite the positive assessment, the guild maintains pressure on the Catalan Government. President Joan Regolf stressed the need to receive concrete proposals within a short period, warning that a lack of results could lead to new street protests.

"We should have proposals on the table and we hope to have results within a few weeks."

The mobilization received notable support from Barcelona citizens, who highlighted the importance of defending the local primary sector. Residents like Meritxell Prat and Dani Camí approached to show their support. The protest, which took place between Friday and Saturday, coincided with other major city events, such as demonstrations over the Rodalies (commuter rail) chaos and cultural events like Llum BCN or the Chinese New Year parade, significantly complicating mobility in the capital.
