The city of Barcelona concluded the Santa Eulàlia winter festival this Sunday, February 15th, with a grand parade celebrating the 425th anniversary of the Gegants del Pi.

The parade traveled through the Gothic Quarter, starting at Plaça del Pi and ending at Plaça Sant Jaume. The event recreated the atmosphere of the 1601 festivities, featuring guest figures from Tarragona, Vilafranca, Reus, Lleida, and Mataró.
The giants, known as Elisenda and Mustafà, are symbols of local tradition that survived the Spanish Civil War. This year's tribute included the exhibition Ara balla pel camí at the Col·legi d'Arquitectes de Catalunya.
The celebrations ended with a large-scale concert by the Banda Simfònica Roquetes - Nou Barris, marking the finale of the 2026 winter festival program in the heart of the city.
