The Spanish Film Academy installed a giant Goya Awards statue this February 10 at Can Fabra square, located in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona.

The massive sculpture has been placed directly in front of the Ignasi Iglésias – Can Fabra Library. This is one of seven monumental figures distributed across Barcelona to promote the 40th Goya Awards ceremony.
The installation has quickly become a local attraction, with many residents and visitors stopping to take photographs and selfies with the iconic bronze-colored bust.
The official awards gala is scheduled for February 28 at the CCIB Auditorium in the Fòrum area, marking a significant milestone for the Spanish film industry in the city.
