The Government has recommended that companies and employees in the province of Barcelona opt for teleworking on June 10 to minimize mobility disruptions during the Pope's visit.

Given the scale of the event, the executive has decided to activate the alert of the Civil Protection Plan of Catalonia (Procicat). The measure aims to prevent congestion in transport and public roads, especially in areas near the Sagrada Familia, where the blessing of the Tower of Jesus Christ will take place.
The department responsible for business has justified this recommendation as an action agreed upon with social agents. Although it is not mandatory, organizations are asked to plan their activities to reduce unnecessary travel during the day.

An analysis of the scale of the visit has been carried out, and we must provide recommendations to companies.

In addition to the ceremony at the basilica, the program includes a brief visit to the Brians 1 prison. According to government sources, the tour will allow the pontiff to greet a group of inmates from various penitentiary centers, a gesture that authorities value as a reinforcement of social reintegration policies.
The cost of the operation, estimated at 1.6 million euros, will be covered by the Generalitat using revenue from the tourist tax. The Government has guaranteed that all expenditure will be subject to a subsequent audit to ensure transparency in the management of public funds.
