The streets of Gràcia will be filled with the spirit of Sant Jordi with numerous points of sale for books and roses. Among the prominent locations is carrer Gran de Gràcia, which will be closed between carrer de Sèneca and rambla de Prat to host stalls from local establishments. Stalls will also be found in plaça de la Vila de Gràcia and Jardinets de Gràcia.
In addition to the traditional purchase of books and roses, the district has organized a variety of cultural events. Plaça de Nicolás Salmerón will be the setting for the illustrators' gathering organized by Casa Anita and the Ekaré publishing house. The Centre Cívic El Coll – La Bruguera will host an intergenerational storytelling activity on April 20, while the Centre Moral i Instructiu de Gràcia will offer theater and poetry on April 25 with the show Una tarda amb Sagarra.
The cultural program is completed with the Diàlegs de Sant Jordi at the Biblioteca Jaume Fuster on April 16, and the awards ceremony for the 23rd Literary Contest of Short Stories, Poetry, and Theatrical Texts Vila de Gràcia on April 20 at the Centre Moral i Instructiu de Gràcia. The Verdi cinemas will host the X Barcelona International Film Festival – Sant Jordi BCN Film Fest from April 16 to 24.
A notable initiative is the book exchange, which will take place from April 7 to 20 in several district libraries, culminating in a joint celebration on April 22 in plaça de la Vila de Gràcia. There will also be the 6th Meeting of Women Authors on April 23 at the Centre Moral i Instructiu de Gràcia and the awards ceremony for the XXV Jocs Florals per a Gent Gran Camp d’en Grassot – Vila de Gràcia – el Coll on April 27 at the Centre Cívic la Sedeta.
