The Museum Night celebration, held last Saturday, filled cultural institutions across Barcelona and its metropolitan area with activity. This year, 94 venues opened their doors from 7 PM to 1 AM, offering a special program that included concerts, workshops, and guided tours to rediscover permanent and temporary collections.
The cultural event attracted a total of 125,000 visitors, solidifying its position as a key fixture in Barcelona's calendar. The Montjuïc hill reaffirmed its status as a major attraction hub, with 11 institutions offering thematic routes through art, history, and architecture.
The National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) recorded the highest attendance, drawing nearly 17,000 visitors, a figure that triples last year's numbers. The evening began with a DJ session in the Oval Hall and guided tours of the Romanesque art exhibition.
The night's standout performance was Gregotechno, a fusion of Gregorian chant spirituality with electronic beats that captivated thousands in the Oval Hall. This innovative concept connected Romanesque art with the modernity of techno, filling the hall until midnight.
