With a full auditorium, the members of the Mountaineering Group convened this September to finalize the calendar and planning for the academic year. Activities are organized around several themes: cultural outings, the 'Engineer's Morning' one Thursday a month, mountain excursions on the third Saturday of each month, and international trips.
For the 2026-2027 academic year, excursions are planned to Montseny, Berguedà, and Garraf, among other local destinations. These are complemented by international trips to Japan, Cappadocia (Turkey), the Dolomites, and Matarranya. These trips, lasting between one week and ten days, combine culture and hiking.
During the assembly, Ramon Molist, the group's outgoing coordinator, has passed the baton to Carles Canals, who will take over management from now on. The Mountaineering Group is one of the largest within the Sports Commission, with approximately 360 members.
