Thousands of people filled the streets of Barcelona this Sunday, March 8th, for a massive demonstration linking feminist rights with the housing crisis and global peace efforts.

The main march, organized by the Assemblea 8M, began at Jardinets de Gràcia and moved down Passeig de Gràcia towards Arc de Triomf. Under the slogan Not one step back, the protest focused on fighting reactionary politics and precarious living conditions.

"Feminism today acts as the last line of defense for life in a context of reactionary conservatism."

The demonstration featured a strong presence of Palestinian flags and chants regarding the high cost of living. Local cultural groups like the Falcons de Barcelona performed human towers to display feminist symbols, adding a traditional touch to the political atmosphere of the day.
The event also highlighted internal divisions within the movement, as two separate marches took place simultaneously. Disagreements over the 'Trans Law' and the abolition of prostitution led the Coordinadora Moviment Feminista de Barcelona to hold its own independent rally.
