The footage, recently shared on social media, shows a man with thick-rimmed glasses and a club crest on his lapel. The video quickly accumulated thousands of views, leading to his identification by his grandson, Pau Bacardit, and his son, Josep Maria Bacardit.
Sebastià Bacardit, born in Biosca in 1915, moved to Barcelona after the Spanish Civil War. He ran a grocery store on Lepant street and later worked as an oil distributor. His passion for the club was legendary; his family recalls he would skip dinner if the team lost a match.
“"It was common to see him like that, with his cigars and the crest. Everyone at the stadium would greet him."
Bacardit, who passed away in June 2007 at the age of 92, typically brought two cigars to every game: one for the buildup and another to celebrate victories. He was also among the 35,000 fans who traveled to Basel in 1979 to witness the club win the European Cup Winners' Cup.
