Catalonia's commuter rail network is experiencing significant disruptions today, with major interruptions affecting several key lines. According to Adif, train services on lines R2, R2 Nord, R4, and R11 are completely suspended. Additionally, line R3 has also had its operations halted across its entire route following an already extinguished fire.
The disruptions affecting lines R2 and R2 Nord are concentrated between the Montcada i Reixac and Sant Andreu stations, caused by issues with the electrical supply. Adif has stated that efforts are underway to resolve this problem as quickly as possible.
Line R4 is also experiencing a halt in service between Fabra i Puig and Montcada Bifurcació due to an infrastructure incident. In light of this situation, Rodalies is advising passengers to use alternative transportation. Line R11 is also impacted, with services suspended between Barcelona-Sants and Montcada i Reixac.
Regarding line R3, the complete suspension of service was a consequence of a fire in the Granollers-Canovelles area. Firefighters responded promptly and have since extinguished the flames that affected a patch of scrubland near the tracks. An alternative service is being provided to mitigate the impact of the disruption.
