The intervention occurred during two operations initially aimed at detecting supermarkets that were fraudulently using electricity. During these inspections, a total of 246 honey sachets were confiscated.
In one of the initial inspections, officers located 160 honey sachets that, according to their manufacturing, originated from Thailand. The Spanish Agency of Medicines later confirmed that these products contained sildenafil.
After learning the analysis results, the Civil Guard attempted to contact the establishment's owner. Unable to reach them, they returned to the premises, where they found an additional 85 sachets displayed for sale on the counter.
