The IT Dansa project was established in 1996 by the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona with the aim of professionalizing and refining young dancers. This pedagogical initiative has become a benchmark for students transitioning into the professional dance world.
The current repertoire includes two outstanding pieces. The first is Biterna, a creation by Aleix Martínez originally premiered in 2024 at the Dansàneu festival, in collaboration with the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa. This piece, with music and arrangements by Arnau Obiols, is presented in an adapted and reduced version.
The program combines the recent premiere of Biterna, an adapted and reduced piece, with the vitality and energy of the iconic choreography Minus 16.
The other choreography is the magnificent Minus 16, by Ohad Naharin, a work full of energy and vitality that has become one of the company's most emblematic pieces. The artistic direction of IT Dansa is led by Catherine Allard, and the program features a large cast of dancers and interns.
As a complementary activity, a discussion titled 'Let's talk about… Biterna and Minus 16' is organized with the company, taking place immediately after the performance, offering an opportunity to delve deeper into the works.
