A Barcelona court has ordered the immediate imprisonment without bail of a 20-year-old man accused of killing his stepfather in the Sant Andreu neighborhood last Tuesday.

The incident took place around 8:00 PM when the suspect attacked the victim with a knife. The young man himself called 112 to report the injury. Although emergency services (SEM) managed to stabilize the victim and transport him to the hospital, he passed away the next day.
The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested the perpetrator at the scene. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) is currently leading the investigation into this violent event, which follows other recent cases of family violence in the region.
