The businessman Josep Lluís Sanfeliu has been nominated by Ramon Agenjo to take over the presidency of Barcelona Global this coming June, following a consensus reached with former leaders.

Sanfeliu, who currently heads the venture capital firm Asabys Partners, will be joined by Rafael Fontana, former chairman of Cuatrecasas, as vice president. This leadership 'ticket' aims to continue the lobby's mission of attracting international talent and investment to Barcelona.
Founded in 2011, the association represents 1,400 companies and research centers. The formal appointment process will begin in late April with the supervisory board meeting, followed by a final vote at the members' assembly to confirm the new leadership for a two-year term.
