Junts files full amendment against Catalan Government's budget

The party rejects the financial plan citing excessive influence from the Comuns and high tax pressure on the middle class.

The parliamentary leader of Junts, Mònica Sales, presented a full amendment to the Generalitat budget this Monday in Barcelona, citing a total disagreement with the government's direction.

The opposition party argues that the budget proposed by Salvador Illa's government fully adopts the model imposed by the Comuns. Junts claims these accounts do not meet the actual needs of Catalonia and represent a hidden motion of confidence.

"It is an amendment to dependency, incompetence, and instability. The country is falling apart."

Specific criticisms include the maintenance or increase of taxes on the working and middle classes, as well as policies that hinder private-public cooperation. Sales stated that if the full amendment fails, the party will focus on proposing specific changes to the articles during the parliamentary process.
