This Sunday, April 26, starting at 12 PM, la Verneda will host the final derby of the season in the Lliga Elit between Júpiter and Martinenc. The match, corresponding to matchday 27, presents a scenario with very different ambitions for each team in this final stretch of the competition.

While the home team is fighting to stay in the category, the visitors lead the standings with the same points as St. Joan Atlètic de Montcada, their main pursuer. The derby can be followed live through betevé, both on its website and via betevé radio (91.0) and the btvesports Twitch channel.

Both Júpiter and Martinenc need a victory to get closer to their respective goals. The team from la Verneda, currently eleventh with 31 points (the same as Manlleu, which marks the relegation zone), has shown significant improvement with only one loss in the last eight matchdays, seeking to consolidate its position in the category after last season's promotion.

For its part, Martinenc, having already secured a play-off spot, dreams of winning the Lliga Elit championship, which grants direct promotion to Tercera Federación, with only four matchdays remaining.

The first-round match, played on December 14 at Guinardó, was marred by incidents in the away stands, where a section of the grey-and-maroon club's fans engaged in reprehensible behavior towards Martinenc players. In terms of sports, that encounter ended with a 2-0 victory for the team led by one of the coaches.
