The demonstrations held on September 11th in Barcelona culminated in incidents, including the throwing of stones, bottles, pyrotechnics, and paint against the deployed police officers. These acts primarily occurred on Mallorca/Diagonal street and along Passeig de Sant Joan and Ronda Sant Pere.
During the afternoon, three dumpsters were set on fire, requiring intervention from the Mossos d'Esquadra to maintain public order and from the Fire Department to extinguish the blazes. The Catalan police had to act to control the demonstrators.
At the demonstration in Fossar de les Moreres, 14 BRIMO officers sustained minor injuries and three men were arrested. Additionally, two women were identified and investigated for public disorder after being found with a fire extinguisher containing paint, allegedly for throwing.
It was also reported that a group of youths threw colored powder at those gathered at the Fossar, resulting in five individuals being investigated for their actions.
