This initiative, with an investment of nearly three million euros, seeks to replace conventional technical documentation with a 3D digital system. This model centralizes all information about a building and allows for the automation of checks currently performed manually by administration technicians.
The project is being tested through a pilot program in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council, applying artificial intelligence tools to optimize processing. This technology will be key to the Government's plan to build 50,000 social housing units, facilitating digital monitoring of developments.
Currently, 3D modeling has already been established as a requirement for the construction of 1,940 homes spread across 38 plots in 23 municipalities. Additionally, eight further developments located in Sant Adrià de Besòs, Lloret de Mar, and La Seu d'Urgell have joined the second phase of this pilot project.
